About the role:

As a DBA, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our databases, both on-premise and in Microsoft Azure. Operating within an Agile Scrum framework, you will ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of our databases, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Take charge of administering, maintaining, and supporting our databases, whether on-premise or in Microsoft Azure. This includes conducting backups, applying patches and upgrades, and fine-tuning database performance.
• Performance Monitoring: Keep a close eye on database performance, implementing necessary changes, patches, and upgrades to optimize efficiency.
• Database Security: Establish and maintain robust database security protocols to safeguard data privacy and integrity.
• Scrum Participation: Actively engage in Agile Scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Problem Solving: Collaborate closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve database issues, optimizing performance to enhance overall efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data architects and other stakeholders to ensure databases align with the company's needs and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with proficiency in both on-premise and Azure databases.
• Strong command of SQL and other database technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Good English speaking skills and proficiency in understanding Dutch.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within our industry.
