Davina
‘Hi, my name is Davina and I have been working at Vesting Finance since 2019 of which I have been part of the GRC team for about two years now. I perform the role of Compliance Officer there.
As Compliance Officer, your responsibilities include promoting and monitoring compliance with external and internal rules relevant to the integrity of the organisation.
Team GRC advises the Management Team in areas such as risk management. The GRC Team is a small and very nice team within which there is an informal and relaxed working atmosphere. I would definitely recommend our team and organisation, because the organisation is growing and offers room for your personal development.
I find Vesting Finance a nice organisation to work for because there is an eye for your talents, your development, we are in full swing and we have nice colleagues.’
Susanne
The last week of Pride Month has entered. In a month like this, words like 'together', 'everyone' and 'unite' are important and valuable. Not only in society, but also in organisations, you hear the term 'inclusion' more and more often. Inclusiveness in the workplace means making everyone feel welcome, respected and valued, regardless of who you are or what you do in an organisation. For us as an organisation, inclusion is important all year round and also part of one of our four corporate values, namely 'we succeed together'. So what makes our organisation unique when it comes to inclusion? We asked Susanne van Dasselaar HR Director at Vesting Finance. Read her story below :
👉 Is there an inclusive work culture within Vesting Finance? If so where do you think this is demonstrated?
Definitely! At Vesting Finance, you feel welcome. We are open to each other. Super nice what we hear back from colleagues. Inclusive? Surely that is a matter of course within our organisation. That's what it's all about!
👉 What makes Vesting Finance unique as an employer in terms of inclusion?
Inclusive is without exclusion of ,everyone can participate at Vesting Finance. We propagate this together. It starts with leadership, making everyone feel welcome and discussing subjects. Vesting Finance is flexible; we like to think along with you to make things possible.
June is Pride month with us, a period when we pay extra attention to this. We do this by organising sessions with each other to discuss certain topics. We like to hear from our colleagues where there are still opportunities to make inclusion even more central. You see it especially in our behaviour, as indicated above, it is more obvious.
👉 You perform the role of Director HR. What is an inclusive HR policy? And does such a policy exist within Vesting Finance?
We have not appointed a specific inclusive personnel policy; for me it is much more in behaviour and values. How we behave towards each other, both internally and externally. And that also includes values, what do we find important as an organisation, what do we stand for, what makes us unique. Among others, ''We succeed together'', together we make each other and the organisation a success. Also ''We do the right thing'', together we have integrity and do the right things. It's about connecting with each other to achieve the best results. Inclusion is not a nice to have, but a must have.
👉 What would you still like to see changed in terms of inclusiveness within our organisation?
I would like to organise sessions with more regularity both internally and externally to keep this up for discussion. Good to use an external network, for instance, or an external speaker or a mentoring programme. I would also like to pay more attention to unconscious bias. This is human, but so good to be aware of this and act accordingly.
Marco
"Hello, my name is Marco and I have been working at Vesting Finance in the role of Business Analyst since January. Here I am responsible for analysing requirements, supporting my technical colleagues (DBAs, Data Engineers and Power BI specialists) in creating actionable data solutions for our organisation and our customers, and supporting the creation and implementation of an enterprise-level data vision. Every day brings new challenges: from solving analytical issues to brainstorming scalable data solutions and making the most of new data for the organisation. Working in the Data team is a great experience. I work with various data experts, which allows me to expand my technical knowledge and help them increase their business acumen. Vesting Finance is perfect if you have an interest in data-driven finance, both B2B and B2C. Here you have a challenging role in a stimulating environment where data is central."
Tim
This month is Pride Month. In a month like this, words like 'together', 'everyone' and 'unite' are important and valuable. Not only in society, but also in organisations, you hear the term 'inclusion' more and more often. Inclusiveness in the workplace means that everyone feels welcome, respected and valued, regardless of who you are or what you do in an organisation. At Vesting Finance, inclusion is important all year round and is also part of one of our four corporate values, namely 'we succeed together'. So what makes our organisation unique when it comes to inclusion? We asked Tim Been recruiter at Vesting Finance. Read his story below👇.
👉 Tim, you yourself have only just started at Vesting Finance. How welcome do you feel within our organisation? The first week has been very good for me. I feel very welcome. Many colleagues show interest, speak to me and take me well into what they do and how they see the culture within Vesting Finance. This fits very well with how I prefer to see a culture within an organisation.
👉 Is an inclusive workplace important to you?For me, inclusiveness is very important. Not only in my role as a recruiter, but also for me personally because I have a chronic condition myself. Not all companies deal with this equally well. Vesting Finance knew about my condition from the beginning, during the application process, and I was hired anyway. This really makes me feel welcome!
👉 Now you are operating in the role of recruiter. How do you ensure inclusive recruitment & selection?Inclusive recruitment & selection is not something you do alone. It is important that the organisation and managers are open to it. Vesting Finance does that very well! The conversations I have had with managers make me feel positive about this. This means that in procedure and recruitment, I look at the person behind the CV with an open mind. Who is the person, what drives this person and how can we spark the talents of this candidate regardless of age, educational background, origin or health. This is how I try to guard the inclusive culture within Vesting Finance.
👉 What is your talent in this?My talent has always been than treating everyone equally. I see no limitations and I have no prejudices. Instead, I see possibilities and potential. I look at people's drives and motivation in this.
👉 What do you think makes Vesting Finance unique in terms of inclusion? From the moment I had my first day, it became clear to me that this is an important part of the culture. You see flyers and posters everywhere, sessions on diversity and inclusiveness are organised and even a company drinks party on the theme of inclusion. In any case, it is clear that this is important for the organisation.
Inas
''Hey, my name is Inas and I have been working at Vesting Finance since September 2023 in the role of Employee Debtor Management Unsecured Servicing.
In the role of Employee Debtor Management, your strength is to find out why someone is not paying and take action on this to resolve it together. This involves being a good listener, taking into account the person's financial situation, keeping the debtor balance as low as possible and being solution-oriented.
I would definitely recommend working at Vesting Finance, because I experience a nice atmosphere within the organisation. You can be yourself completely. There is a real team spirit within our team. Everyone is always ready to help each other, so we really work together as a team. Besides, not a single day is the same, which makes the role and working for Vesting Finance extra fun!"
Sander
"Hi, my name is Sander and I have been working at Vesting Finance for over eight years, six of which have been in the role of Senior Employee Debt Collection business.
In this role you are, for example, responsible for coaching colleagues in the team on content and quality, preparing (management) reports and performing quality and file checks. You are also a point of contact for immediate colleagues and a point of contact for external parties. Furthermore, you replace the Teamlead in case of absence.
What makes this role so enjoyable is that every day and every case is different, so no two days are the same.
The Debt Business Collections team is the team you would like to be part of, because we are a dynamic team where customisation and quality are very important.
I find Vesting Finance a pleasant organisation to work for because, among other things, there is room for your own input and development."
Matthijs
"Hi, my name is Matthijs and I've been working at Vesting Finance for 7 months now in the role of Collection Officer Piviate Individuals.
My working days are dynamic. For example, you have a different schedule every day and different activities per time block. In addition, every file is different. This variety requires focus, but has the advantage that the hours fly by. You will never get bored! The thing that makes this role so much enjoyable is that you have time to sort things out. You also have a lot of client contact. The alternation between sorting out files and thinking along with the client also ensures that you never get bored.
The Collections Private Individuels team is the team you want to be part of, because we are the most sociable team. Everyone supports each other in word and deed and the team works well together and we want to help eachother.
Vesting Finance is a pleasant employer, because you have all the space you need to be yourself, to develop and, in addition, the guideline is to come to the office only twice a week. Need I say more?''

As a Debt Collection officer, our job is to collect receivables, listening carefully and taking into account both the customers financial and personal situation.
What I particularly like about my role is that I leave customers satisfied and grateful at the end of a conversation, because I was able to help them well and to their satisfaction. Customers sometimes are overwhelmed and it is nice to be able to help them as a Debt Collection officer.
Vesting Finance is a pleasant organisation to work for, because there is a real solidarity within the entire organisation. We succeed together! Everyone is kind and friendly to each other and likes to help each other. I find that a pleasant working environment and I wish the same for our new colleagues. So I would say: definitely come and join our team!"
Sahra
"Hello, my name is Sahra and since January 2023 I have been part of the Collections Pensions team.
I feel that I have found a place where I get the chance to develop myself and where people really take the time for me. This is evidenced by the close cooperation and 1-on-1 coaching by a senior debt collection officer. I quickly noticed the diversity in the workplace. Value is also placed on mental health, which contributes to a safe working environment. From the IT department, I was given a full set-up to take home with me to optimally set up my home office.
Outside work, along with some new colleagues, I received an introduction from HR, including a photo opportunity and a bunch of flowers. It is precisely these small moments and well-considered choices by Vesting Finance that have made my experience so far very positive."
Sandra

The goal of Vesting Finance is to work together towards a better financial society. The strength of a debt collection officer within our organisation lies in collecting receivables, while listening carefully and taking into account the client's financial situation.

Saffira
"Hey, my name is Saffira and I have been working at Vesting Finance for over 13 years. My role at Vestig Finance is Teamlead in workforce management. This is a part within our Collections Domain.
Vesting Finance is a cool organisation to work for because we have nice hardworking colleagues and there is a good atmosphere. Because of hybrid working, we have a lot of flexibility and a good work-life balance.
The tasks of a Teamlead are very versatile and fascinating. We start the day with the day's start, in which we discuss everyone's mood and talk through the day, among other things. We value one-to-one contact and therefore have monthly bilas. Continuous improvement is in our DNA, we like to work on improving our processes and their recording.
Together with your team and the client service managers, you do your utmost to add as much customer value as possible for both your clients and the client/debtors. We also consider the development of our colleagues very important and the senior staff are committed to getting the best out of people through coaching and mentoring.
Personally, what I enjoy most about my position as Teamlead is the collaboration with the entire operation. We are always there for each other and strive for high customer satisfaction."
Ferry
"Hello, my name is Ferry and I have been working at Vesting Finance as a Collection officer Private individuals for almost 24 years now.
What I like most about my role is that I get to help many customers solve their debts. I do this by, for example, making payment arrangements that fit the customers financial situation. In short, I work in a solution-oriented way as much as possible.
Working at Vesting Finance is especially fun because of the pleasant colleagues, the variation in each day and the sufficient opportunities for growth. I heartily recommend our team and our organisation because of the nice working atmosphere. I look forward to meeting you soon as a colleague!"
Sijbrand
"My name is Sijbrand, nice to meet you! Working at the Debt Collections Business team is both varied and challenging. You manage your own portfolio, which consists of bank claims on companies or individuals, where the bank may or may not have collateral. Depending on your working hours, you can work from home a number of days, which I think is a great advantage of working at Vesting Finance. What makes the role of Debt Collection Officer Business pleasant is the degree of independence and freedom in organising your work. You will have both telephone and written contact with clients, lawyers, administrators, debt relief agencies, trustees and advisors. The variety also lies in handling written communication independently or under supervision. We always strive to reach an acceptable solution for both parties in consultation with the client. Respect, adversarial hearings play a crucial role in this. Based on income and expenses, we calculate the customer's repayment options ourselves. Sometimes you act as an advisor, other times as a listening ear, and sometimes you manage to get someone to take action. The conversations with customers give me the most satisfaction because you can really help entrepreneurs. In short, it's a versatile and varied job at a wonderful and friendly organisation!"
