New step in onboarding | introduction of our ‘Vesting Friend’
In January 2025, thirty HRM students from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences set to work on a challenging assignment from Vesting Finance: how can our corporate onboarding process be better tailored to new colleagues? Our goal is for new colleagues to quickly feel welcome and at home in our organisation.
During this process, the students worked with Vesting Finance to explore ways of further strengthening connections, culture and support during the initial period. In the summer of 2025, they presented their innovative plans. One initiative from these proposals is being officially launched today: our “Vesting Friend”.
The ‘Vesting Friend’
Our Vesting Friend is a new role within Vesting Finance and is a permanent and accessible point of contact for new colleagues. You will help new employees find their way within our organisation and support them in getting to know our culture and working methods at Vesting Finance.
Below are the key characteristics of this role.
- Supporting new colleagues during their initial period at Vesting Finance
- Familiarising you with our organisation, culture and daily practice
- Encouraging mutual connection and contact with colleagues
- Supervise a maximum of three new colleagues at the same time
- Meet with other Vesting Friends once every three months to share experiences
With the introduction of our Vesting Friend, Vesting Finance aims to further strengthen the sense of welcome and help new employees feel at home quickly.

The role of Vesting Friend will be further rolled out in the coming period. With this, Vesting Finance is taking the next step in improving the employee experience and strengthening connections between colleagues.
